PPC Protect Month In Review — July 2020

It’s been a strange summer, but that’s not stopped us here at PPC Protect — we’ve been as busy as ever! Here’s what we’ve been up to throughout July.

From new staff members and partnerships, to helping reforest our planet, it’s been non-stop action. Let’s take a deeper look at what we’ve been up to….

1. We’re committing to reforesting our planet

We only have one planet, and we all have a responsibility to help preserve it. That’s why we have committed not only to offsetting all our carbon emissions, but to be doing so by a factor of 10x.

Every month we’ll be planting trees in the name of our customers to offset the emissions generated from processing their data by a minimum of 10x. That means not only do our customers benefit from innovative, realtime fraud protection but they’re also helping to save the planet too. Pretty cool!

We’ll be keeping in regular touch with all our customers to let them know how many trees they have contributed to planting. Just this month we planted 1,850 trees and we’re only just starting. If you want to read more about why we’re committing to this, click here.

2. We’ve expanded the team — again!

Another month, another new team member! This month we welcome Amar, our new partnerships manager, in to the team.

Amar will be working closely with our strategic partners to help you drive even more value from your PPC Protect accounts. We’re super exited to have them on board!

3. We’re building towards a privacy-first future

With Google’s recent announcement of their desire to stamp out fingerprinting of users, coupled with the upcoming loss of third party cookies due in 2022, it’s more important than ever that we adapt to meet user demand and expectations.

That’s why we’re building towards a privacy-first future. A future where cutting edge fraud detection, monitoring and prevention are possible without compromising user anonymity. We’re working alongside some brilliant companies in the IAB Tech Lab to help us achieve this through use of cutting edge, privacy-focused and cryptographically secure APIs and technologies.

We’re already part of the way there, with our existing technology now able to identify, prove and block fraud at industry-leading rates without invasive third party fingerprinting and tracking (and being the only click fraud solution able to do so, something we’re very proud of!), but we know there is more to do.

Brands, agencies and advertisers owe it to their customers and the internet at large to stamp out the invasive and downright disturbing tracking that frequently occurs on users — almost always without their consent. Not only does this have implications in a world of GDPR and CCPA laws, it’s just not morally right. We fully support anyone working to change that.

4. A new partnership is born

Following on from the success of our partnership with Adzooma, we’re delighted to announce our latest partnership — Superscript!

Every business needs to be covered with insurance, especially in this day and age. That’s where Superscript come in with their fully customisable business insurance, payable via monthly subscription.

5. We gave away 5% of our company

Yup, it’s true. We gave away 5% of our company this month for nothing in return.

To who?

To our biggest asset — our employees. Every employee at PPC Protect, no matter their seniority or position, has a stake in our company. And every future employee will, too.

It’s something we strongly believe in. We think everyone who contributes to our continued success deserves to be able to benefit from that success.

We have a mentality here at PPC Protect of doing business differently. We don’t mean that as a buzzword, we mean genuinely doing things differently.
